What organisational issues will I have to consider?
Poor communication has been linked to issues surrounding the effectiveness of change management because imposed change can lead to greater employee resistance.
It's important to remember that you won't be able to implement change initiatives in isolation without considering how they will fit within a wider coherent change plan to consider linkages between strategy, structure and systems issues. A change that considers a new structure but fails to establish new systems to support such a structure is less likely to succeed.
Consider also how you will ensure the existence of project/programme management to prevent slippages in timings, in the achievement of desired outcomes, and in ensuring that the projects deliver as planned.
Are you happy that you've been sufficiently trained in project management, change management, and leadership skills before implementing a change initiative? A lack of effective leadership would inhibit effective change.
