How can I check a person's health before I employ them?
The Adviceline will help you to understand how health screening and surveillance can form an invaluable part of your corporate wellness programme.
You can carry out pre-employment health screening to ensure your new staff are fit to perform the job they've taken on. Health screening can be carried out for a range of jobs, including food handlers, drivers and night workers. Health screening programmes will help you to meet your legislative responsibilities as an employer, for example for staff exposed to noise, respiratory sensitisers (e.g. certain fumes or dusts), etc. Workplace protection screening programmes can be carried out for staff working with lead, asbestos and vibrating tools.
Speak through the options with an adviser by calling the Adviceline.
